Our story

Thoughtful School Lunches, Inspired by Home.

What started as packing lunchboxes for my own daughters slowly became something much bigger.

Before this journey, I worked in big tech - balancing meetings, deadlines, and the fast pace of corporate life while also trying to raise healthy, happy kids. And no matter how busy life became, one thing always stayed deeply important to me: food.

I grew up in India in a family where ingredients mattered. Food did not just come from a grocery shelf - it came from a source. Most meals were home cooked, made fresh daily, and packed food was limited.

I grew up watching raw spices being ground at home, hearing elders talk about the benefits of every ingredient, and learning how food could nourish, comfort, and heal.

Fresh homemade meals

instead of ultra-processed snacks

Those were not health trends for us. That was simply how we lived.

As I became a mom myself, I wanted to give my children that same foundation: real food, thoughtful ingredients, and meals made with care. That journey led me to start sharing our lunchboxes online through Toddler Lunchtime.

What people saw were colorful lunches. What they did not see was the amount of research behind every ingredient.

The research behind every box

Years of label-reading, farm-finding, and ingredient editing.

01

Cleaner sources

Finding farms that offered clean raw milk and ingredients closer to their source.

02

Shorter labels

Chocolates made with cacao, jaggery, and real milk. Snacks with only 2-3 recognizable ingredients.

03

Less noise

Products without unnecessary chemicals, dyes, fillers, or ultra-processing.

Because I truly believe our kids deserve better.

Over time, I realized I was not alone. There were so many parents who wanted premium, cleaner, thoughtfully sourced food for their children - but did not always know who to trust or have the time to research every label the way I did.

And honestly, I understood that completely. Modern parenting is exhausting.

That is why The Lunch Edit was born.

From two moms to another

A trusted space for better ingredients, better choices, and better lunches.

Together with my friend, another mom who shared the same values, we decided to build something for families like ours - a trusted space for parents looking for better ingredients, better choices, and better lunches for their children.

Care Trust Thoughtfulness

The Lunch Edit is not just about food. It is about care. It is about trust. It is about bringing thoughtfulness back into what we feed our kids every single day.

From two moms to another, we are here to make that journey a little easier.
